A teacher's role is not to demonstrate or demand a preconceived ideal of perfection as a musician. Rather, a teacher's role is to inspire and spark the creativity in a student. This method of teaching enables the student to discover his or her own ideal of accomplished musicianship. The instructor achieves this by presenting as many different musical options as possible tailored to the student's interests.
Lessons Include:
- Instruction on drum set or vibraphone in any musical style the student is most interested in
- Learning songs by ear picked by either the instructor or the student
- Instruction in reading music
- Other areas as they come up (ex: equipment set up and tuning)
- Will teach at your location
Rates:
- First lesson free (used as an evaluation for both teacher and student)
- $25 per 1/2 hour (after first lesson)
- $35 per hour (after first lesson)
- Mileage to be determined if location is outside the Antelope Valley
